In the Children’s Literature section (Gvazdiku takas 8) students and adults interested in smart technologies can use the computer equipment received free of charge from the National Library of Martynas Mažvydas of Lithuania, which consists of programming and engineering packages. The programming package will particularly please those who like to program and construct LEGO robots.
In this programming package you will find:
Microcomputers;
A set of programmable microcontrollers;
Small microcomputers;
Robotics Constructors LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Core Set;
Robotics Constructors for Beginners (LEGO Education WeDo 2.0);
Educational programmable drones.
The engineering package is useful to those interested in electronics and robotics. Of course, working with this set requires knowledge, so the equipment will be perfect not only for senior secondary school students, higher school students, but also for teachers of senior students.
The engineering package contains:
Constructors for basic electronics (PROFI Electronics);
Constructors for mechanical basics (PROFI Mechanic & Static 2);
Constructors for hydraulic or pneumatic basics (PROFI Pneumatic 3);
Constructors for research of renewable energy sources (solar, wind, water) (PROFI Oeco Energy);
Constructors to study the principles of optics (PROFI optics);

The library welcomes all interested in new technologies, who like to construct, program and create technological innovations – especially knowledge seeking young people, teachers, organizers of non-formal education!
Those who want to come to the library and use the sets of programming and engineering packages can contact by phone (8 41) 55 28 914 or by e-mail: rima.matuleviciute@smsvb.lt
